Ask any professional dancer, from Ballroom to Broadway, which genre of dance is the most important for young aspiring students to study and they will emphatically tell you "BALLET"! Classical ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance because it teaches absolute control over the body and conditions muscles to be both strong and supple simultaneously.
At Kansas Ballet Academy, not only do we wholeheartedly agree with the importance of proper ballet training for competition dancers, we've also personally had amazing results coaching figure skaters and gymnasts. Athletes and dancers who want to "get a leg up" on their competition have three options of study in the Competitive Edge program.
Recreational Division Classes
This is a great option for individual athletes and dancers who wish to study Russian based ballet technique outside of their home dance studio or gym. Please click here to read about our Recreational Division classes.

Kansas Ballet Academy's Artistic Directors will work closely with coaches and teachers to develop a personalized program that will help take your team to the next level.
